Congratulations Van!
The light from Normal's Hill reaches far and wide. President Leticia Drakeford recognizes our very own Van Lane, ‘82, (third from left). Van was honored at the Monmouth County (NJ) Diversity Alliance’s Juneteenth Gala on June 19th. Congratulations, Van!
A partnership between the U.S. Forest Service and four HBCUs (Alabama A&M University, Florida A&M University, Southern University, and Tuskegee University) is building on a decadeslong relationship between AAMU and the agency. The consortium is creating a pipeline and foundation for paths to forestry, ecology, agriculture and firefighting careers.
“These HBCUs have some of the top agricultural programs in the nation. So, it just makes sense to align our efforts and move together in the same direction,” said Stephanie Love, the USDA Forest Service’s national diversity student programs manager and #AAMU alumna.
